Military & Veterans Society

Servicemembers and veterans have served our country with pride and dignity.  However, transitioning from a military environment to a civilian environment is not always easy.  Quite often the veteran finds that the job held in the military does not always equate to a civilian job and therefore additional training and education is quite often required.  However, obtaining a college degree can be challenging and this is especially true for servicemembers and veterans who face challenges their civilian peers do not face.

Apollos is committed to supporting servicemembers and veterans achieve their academic goals so they can reach their full potential.  As part of this commitment, Apollos established a student centered Military & Veterans Society (ApollosMVS) to help provide the needed support and camaraderie servicemembers, veterans, and their dependents require to be successful. The ApollosMVS is run by military and veteran students just like you and the Society has the full support the faculty and staff of Apollos University.

ApollosMVS membership provides the servicemember and veteran student an avenue to be a part of an organization specifically designed to support you.  Additionally, membership in the national Student Veterans of America (SVA) society provide additional networking and support services.

SVA benefits include:

  • Information and assistance concerning GI Bill entitlements and other related veteran benefits
  • Programs such as: SVA National Conference, Leadership Institute, and Leadership Summits
  • SVA scholarships awarded through the National Chapter
  • Employment assistance
